As I write this post on the evening of Memorial Day I can smell something delicious on my neighbors grill.  I hear them splashing in the pool and laughing loudly.  There’s something good about this day.  There’s something we all should be grateful for.  And we all know what it is.

The weather has been so nice in St Petersburg in the last few weeks.  This weekend the tourists joined by many Tampa Bay residents flocked to the beach.  It’s always fun to take the boat out into the gulf, throw an anchor a couple hundred yards away from the shore and just relax.  The water is so clear and snorkeling is made fun and easy.  After some boating it’s time to hit the beach with your friends and play cornhole.  I rarely see the beach so crowded but this is Memorial Day weekend, and that’s what people do during this holiday.  A sweet spot on St Pete Beach behind the Postcard Inn is a convenient location if you also want to be close to the beach bar and grab a couple drinks.
